New Urbanism

New Urbanism is a architectural method started in 1998, as a alternative to the urban sprawl or (conventional suburban development) which became popular after World War II. New Urbanism creates communities which are mix-use and compact. New Urbanism looks to incorporate the lost architectural features of a town center. In addition, unlike sprawl it considers the person who does not have a car. Therefore, a community which is planned according to new urbanism principles is scalable and walkable.
